Launched in 1981, it aired music videos 24 hours a day, seven days a week, beginning with the Buggles’ hit "Video Killed the Radio Star." This continuous stream of contemporary music quickly captured the attention of viewers.
Targeting the 16-24 age group, MTV became an immediate success and played a pivotal role in promoting several bands that embraced the music video format. It didn't take long for the network to establish itself as a significant influencer in the music scene. The video jockeys, or VJs, gained celebrity status, and by the mid-1980s, MTV held considerable power over record labels, as regular airplay of a music video often translated into a hit song.

This LED-illuminated logo is an ideal collectible for enthusiasts of 80s music television. The sign is created using state-of-the-art 3D printing technology with PLA material derived from corn starch, making it biodegradable. The LEDs that illuminate the sign are powered by a 2-meter USB cable, which is included with the product.

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we invite you to return it within 14 days of the order date for a refund or exchange.
